HCG, human chorionic gonadotropin is used by men from bodybuilding to testosterone replacement therapy. While it’s a female pregnancy hormone, HCG has very interesting properties in men for maintaining or regaining fertility. I take a look at how HCG is used in bodybuilding and around TRT, as well as some exciting new published research on HCG and fertility in men. Finally, I discuss the ways I use it in my practice. HCG has side effects that should be taken seriously, but as more men in the world with hypogonadism want to regain fertility, in many cases HCG can be helpful and will have to be used.
